Ingredients
1poundground beef
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonground black pepper
115-ounce cantomato sauce
1cupwater
1tablespoonsugar
1envelopedry onion soup mix
1small canmushroom piecesundrained
3cupsmedium-sized egg noodlesuncooked
Instructions
Place the ground beef in a large pan over medium-high heat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the beef has browned. Drain the excess fat if necessary.
Combine the tomato sauce, water, sugar, soup mix, and mushroom pieces in a small bowl and mix well.
Sprinkle the noodles evenly over the meat and pour the sauce over noodles. Do not stir.
Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes over medium-high heat, or until the noodles are cooked.
Notes
If you wish to use pasta, such as macaroni, substitute the 3 cups of egg noodles with 2 cups of pasta.
