Instructions
Dressing
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sugar. Mix well and set aside.
Salad
In a large clear bowl or trifle dish, layer the shredded lettuce, followed by the chopped red onion, eggs, and peas.
Carefully spread the mayonnaise dressing over the salad and top with bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours before serving. Do not mix the salad until you are ready to serve.
